2024 Fan Film Director’s Choice Awards


Purpose
Directors of released fan films for the previous year select and judge other fan films.

Judges
Judges are the Directors of the fan films submitted.
The director of each submitted fan film will receive a ballot to vote on the other entries. A Director cannot vote for any film that nominates them as a Director.
 
Submissions
Submissions are open to anyone but restricted to fan films only. Limitations: A maximum of 3 films per any given director may be submitted. The fan film must have a public release date of 2024.

Submission form needs to be filled out completely. Up to 3 film submissions by the same Director are permitted. Form must be accompanied by the submission fee of $10.00. A separate submission fee of $10.00 must accompany each film. Ballot will be compiled and emailed to each Judge for completion. Voting period will be one week from receipt. Failure to complete and return ballot results a disqualification for offender’s film.

Judges & Voting
The judges are the actual Directors of the submitted films. After entry deadline, Directors will receive a ballot to vote on all fan film submissions. A director cannot vote for any film that lists themselves as Director.


Call for entries begin November 1st, 2024.
Deadline for entries is January 11th, 2025.
All ballots must be returned by March 15th, 2025.
 
Winners and Awards announcement April 5th, 2025

Awards shall be in the form of an electronic certificate.

In addition to the 7 nominated categories, selected by each director, ALL films will be considered for
“Best In Fest” and will be determined by the film which received the most total votes across all categories with a cash prize of $250.00.
